The only procedure for the nurse at the point-of-administration is to remove the prefilled syringe from its tamper-evident overwrap and disengage the leak-proof seal. By dosing with prefilled syringes, one not only has a convenient means of administration, but also eliminates dosing errors for small volume doses.

Prefilled syringes are overwrapped to ensure tamper-evidence. Labeling and bar-codes are placed on both the syringe barrel and the overwrap. Wheaton^TM Glass Vials
Volumes as low as 2 mL to as high as 60 mL can be filled in Wheaton Uni-Dose® amber, glass vials with pull-tab tamper-evident aluminum closures.
