Are your unit-of-use bottles compliant for point of care dispensing?

Yes, Safecor Health is an FDA registered re-packager. All of our unit-of-use repackaging operations are conducted under FDA regulations in compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices).

What expiration date do you give on your unit-of-use bottles?

Safecor Health repackages into unit-of-use pharmaceutical grade HDPE bottles equivalent to the original manufacturer's bottle. Since we use an equivalent container-closure system, we typically use the original manufacturer's dating on our unit-of-use bottles.

What is on the unit-of-use bottle's label?

Safecor Health labels its unit-of-use bottles with all required information, including drug name, strength, dosage form, quantity, storage requirements, expiration date, lot number, manufacturer, NDC# and bar-code. Each label has small peel-off labels to use on patient charts and inventory logs.

Are the unit-of-use bottles tamper-evident?

Yes, Safecor Health uses induction sealing to hermetically seal a tamper-evident foil seal to the top of the bottle (under the child resistant cap). This induction seal not only provides tamper-evidence, it also insures the product’s expiration date.

What products do you offer for point of care dispensing?

Safecor Health works with each customer to develop a custom formulary of drugs for their point of care dispensing program. The formulary usually contains the highest volume generic drugs used in the practice.

Can you repackage controlled substances into unit-of-use bottles?

Yes, Safecor Health can repackage controlled substances in Scheduled II – V into unit-of-use bottles.

Does Safecor Health purchase the drugs or do I?

Safecor Health can purchase the drugs to be repackaged directly from the manufacturer or through a wholesaler. Some customers prefer to purchase the drug themselves and send the bulk product to Safecor Health to be repackaged. Either way is acceptable.

Safecor Health is ready to be your partner.
